TROY, N.Y. - Liberty League Commissioner Tracy King has announced the 566 spring sport student-athletes have qualified for the league's All-Academic Teams in their respective sports, including 27 from Bard College.
In the Liberty League, the spring championship sports include baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's rowing, softball, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's track and field. To be recognized as a member of the All-Academic teams, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20.
"Liberty League student-athletes have long demonstrated that it is possible to not only compete at the highest levels of Division III, but also to excel academically," King said. "During the current academic year, nearly 1,300 student-athletes have earned a place on one of the League's All-Academic Teams - which speaks volumes about the commitment and academic achievement of our student-athletes. We congratulate you for this outstanding accomplishment."
