The Bard College Department of Athletics & Recreation honored student-athletes, teams and staff at the annual Athletic Awards event on Wednesday night.
Senior
Perry Scheetz and freshman
Tytravia Riley shared the Female Student-Athlete of the Year award, and
Trevor LaMountain, a sophomore, won the Male Student-Athlete of the Year honor. Scheetz, who also shared the Student-Athlete of the Year Award last year, won the Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award as well.
The women's basketball team, which started a school-record 5-0 and won its first-ever Liberty League game this winter, was voted the Women's Team of the Year. The baseball team was the Men's Team of the Year after winning eight games, including five of its last 10, in its first varsity season since 1937.
