Baseball has been a club sport at Bard College for the last several years.

Bard College announced in November of 2011 that baseball would return as a varsity sport for the first time since 1937.

A national search has begun for a head coach for the new program. The full-time position (Head Baseball Coach/Assistant Athletic Director) will be posted soon on Bard's human resources page.

A brand new baseball facility will be constructed on campus. It will have lights and synthetic turf. It is hoped that the program will play it's first official varsity games since 1937 in the spring of 2013. That will likely be an abbreviated, independent schedule.

Bard joined the Liberty League in the fall of 2011. Liberty League schools that currently offer baseball are Clarkson, Union, Skidmore, Vassar, St. Lawrence, RIT, RPI and Rochester.
