Honey Field

Honey Field

Honey Field was completed in October of 2014. The product of a $2.2 million donation from Bard College graduate Jim Chambers ('81) in honor of his mother, Anne Cox Chambers, the promise of the gift in 2011 re-started varsity baseball at Bard.

The playing surface is AstroTurf. It is 320 feet down both lines and 390 feet to dead center field. There are bullpens for both home and away teams and a batting cage on the home side. Both dugouts are sizable and include storage rooms at the far ends.

The bleachers behind home plate seat more than 200 fans, and the grassy hillside in right field is perfect for tailgating.
